Rashard Mendenhall, a former running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, attempted to play the victim on Monday after criticizing White people for their football-related remarks.
Later in the evening, Mendenhall posted again after getting a ton of backlash on X.
He wrote, “Simply tired of being berated by people who don’t know anything about the game.” We just act like I’m the only sportsman who is sick of hearing negative remarks from fans. You become agitated with one tweet. How about us? Like me or not, my football skills are AMAZING. You cannot talk on the ball by yourself, as this illustrates.
When the Steelers went on to win the Super Bowl in 2008, Mendenhall was a member of the team. Due to injuries, his season was cut short. He was a member of the squad that played the Green Bay Packers in the 2010 Super Bowl, however in the fourth quarter, he committed a critical turnover that allowed the Packers to score.
But he objected to some of the internet commentary he was reading, especially that of White people.
He wrote, “I’m tired of regular white guys making football-related comments.” “Y’all not even good at football. Would you kindly have an All-Black vs. All-White bowl instead of the Pro Bowl so these cats can quit trying to show me who the best football player is? I’m superior to your (sic) goat.
J.J. Watt, a former standout player for the Houston Texans, made light of the idea of a “All-Black vs. All-White bowl.”
Watt writes, “We’d get cooked at the corner, not gonna lie.” “We don’t have anyone covering Tyreek (Hill) on our team.”
Before then, the former running back for the Arizona Cardinals and Steelers discussed Steelers coach Mike Tomlin in a post.
He went on, “It is incomprehensible to discuss Tomlin’s playoff record without taking into account the fact that Kenny Pickett has only played in one season.” “For all those playoff losses, who was the quarterback?!” genuinely every single one of them. Decide what you want to do. How did you divide Mike and Ben at random in the W/L column?
Before going pro, Mendenhall was an exceptional running back at Illinois. From 2008 to 2012, he was a member of the Steelers, and he ended his career in Arizona.
He was a member of the Steelers that won Super Bowl XLIII over the Cardinals. Tomlin has never won a Super Bowl before.
