SAD NEWS: Pittsburgh Steelers most to blame for…..

Pittsburgh Steelers most to blame for…..

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 24-0.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost three in a row after falling to the Indianapolis Colts, 30-13, on Sunday, September 2nd. It was a game that did not feel like it was that close. Pittsburgh needs to take a hard look at itself and do whatever it takes to get back on track. Here are three people who are most responsible for the team’s loss.

In the first half of the game, the Steelers put themselves in a good position to win. They led the Colts by 14-13 at the half. However, in the second half, the Steelers did not score a single offensive play. The quarterback of the team right now is Mitchell Trubisky. He simply has not been able to get things going. Trubisky has thrown for 169 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Not a great stat line.

In fact, Trubisky lost his starting job near the end when Mason Rudolph replaced Roethlisberger, and he didn’t do a great job. The Steelers simply don’t have a gunslinger like Roethlisberger around who can step in the pocket and throw the ball, or run for a few more yards and gain a first down.

If Trubisky remains the playcaller for this team, he’ll need to make some quality throws and control the offense.

Najee AND THE RUN GAME

Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Najee Harris, continues to struggle to gain yardage. The former first-round draft pick had a season-low 33 yards on a season-high 12 carries in Sunday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Harris has failed to reach 63 yards rushing in any of his last three games, and he has yet to reach 100 yards rushing in a single game this season despite playing all 14 games.

It’s hard to believe, but Harris made a crucial mistake in the second half of Sunday’s game, fumbling the ball on the first play of the second quarter. The Colts had a one-point lead at the time, and the Steelers wanted to get back into the game. Instead, Harris’ turnover led to the Colts scoring on the very next drive, sending the game into overtime.
