Leeds super star was lost 19 duels.

The 19-match losing streak for the Leeds star was as bad as Summerville v Blackburn.

Leeds United have won their third Championship game in a row after a 2-0 victory at Blackburn Rovers today. Daniel James and Crysania Summerville scored the goals as the Whites maintained their unbeaten run at Ewood Park

There is still a long way to go between the West Yorkshire outfit and the two teams above them in the Championship table, but it’s fair to say Daniel Farke could be doing a lot more with his players right now.

Without a doubt, the former Norwich City manager has been helped along by James and Summerville’s performances this season, with the latter proving to be one of the bright lights again today.

Read on to find out more about Crysania Summerville’s performance against Blackburn.

The Young Dutchman has been expected to step up this season to be the go-to attacking threat from the left after the departure of Luis Sinistra, Rodrigo and now Jack Harrison.

And boy have they delivered!

While James – who scored the opener against Blackburn with a superb cross-goal finish – has also scored seven goals so far this season, Summerville has undoubtedly been the star performer on the other end of the pitch, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in 17 league games so far this season.

In the second half, Summerville found space behind the Rovers’ defence before curling a delightful chip over the outstretched arms of an oncoming Leopold Wagner to give the hosts the win.

In addition to his second goal of the season, the 24-year-old from Rotterdam also made two key passes and five tackles, showing what he can provide to Farke and his team-mates both in and out of the box.

However, it wasn’t just Summerville who shone – he had a match rating of 7.8 according to Sofascore – it was also Georginio Rutte who was a real “problem” for the hosts, as journalist Graham Smyth put it.

Rutter’s stats vs Blackburn
At first sight, it looked as though the Frenchman was going to have a quiet day at Ewood Park. After all, he had lost 19 out of 27 total duels and had lost possession 20 times.

But that latter metric was largely down to the fact that Rutte wanted to make things happen in the final third and made one key pass, which led to James’ early opener.

While he wasn’t at his best as he worked tirelessly in the buildup to that goal, Rutter should be commended for his perseverance, and he was rewarded with what is now his 8th assist of the campaign.
