Arsenal has finally signed Aston Villa most potential mildfielder
Arsenal want to sign Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz in January, according to a respected journalist. Thomas Partey has a thigh injury that could keep him out until at least January, and the club will face another issue in early 2024 when Partey, Elneny and others are set to play for Ghana and Egypt respectively at the Africa Cup of Nations, leaving them short on midfield options.
Jorginho, Declan Rice and Nuno Espirito Santo are the only specialists in defensive midfield at the moment.
According to Romano, Luiz is the Gunners’ top priority for January, and they’re not looking to make a deal happen. However, it’s not going to be a walk in the park with Villa in the race for the top four.

A deal for Luiz could prove difficult to broker during the winter window, so Arsenal may need to look elsewhere.
