Aston Villa must complete Unai Emery’s new contract as soon as possible as ‘whispers’ emerge at Villa Park

Alan Hutton does not want Aston Villa to wait until the end of the season to finalize a new contract for manager Unai Emery.

Speaking to Villa News on November 5, Sky Sports journalist Dan Bardell revealed that there have been rumors that Aston Villa will offer Emery a new contract after the end of the season.

Bardell admitted he was “surprised” that nothing has been done sooner to secure Emery’s future at Villa Park.

Hutton also believes his former club shouldn’t wait around. However, he does admit that it could be the ex-Arsenal boss’ decision to delay any talks until next summer.
