Source: Fabio Paratici ‘still pulling the strings’ at Tottenham – Levy loves him
Former Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici remains closely involved with the club despite resigning in April, sources told Football Insider.
The Italian footballer has withdrawn from his 30-month worldwide football ban after being found guilty of financial misconduct by the Italian FA.
But a reputable source has told Football Insider that Paratici is still “pulling the strings” in Spurs’ recruitment department while working for the club in an advisory role.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is said to value the 51-year-old’s connections and believes his recruitment record has been “outstanding” over the past 24 months.
He has earned Levy’s trust with a series of high-profile signings that have now paid off for current manager Ange Postecoglou.
Additionally, Paratici has been spotted in the directors’ box in many of Spurs’ matches so far in the 2023-24 campaign.

Spurs’ recruitment during the summer transfer window was also highly rated, with players such as James Maddison, Gugliemo Vicario and Micky van de Ven among the standout deals.
Paratici’s fingerprints are clearly linked to the deal with Vicario, a player from Italy, a market that recruitment experts know very well.
These successes contrast sharply with the state of play before Paratici was appointed – with Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso among the most prominent failures in recent years.
Postecoglou’s team finished second in the Premier League despite losing 1-4 at home to Chelsea on Monday (November 6).
