After enjoying a fantastic start to the Premier League season, Tottenham may now consider adding Kalvin Phillips to their roster.

With the Euros scheduled for next summer, Phillips knows full well that he needs to be playing to try and make the squad, but he is struggling to get minutes at Manchester City.

Tottenham is reportedly among the clubs who are eager to sign Phillips, according to reports that were released this weekend from Italy.

The Turin behemoths are reportedly interested in City’s Phillips as well as Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

But according to the same report, Tottenham and Newcastle are also interested in Phillips.

Most importantly, it’s reported that Spurs will try to sign a midfield player after losing Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr to the African Cup of Nations in January.

Ange Postecoglou, who is eager to lessen the blow of that defeat, will view Phillips as a capable and seasoned player who can make an instant impact.

After spending about £45 million to join City, Phillips was eager to establish himself at The Etihad. But it’s getting increasingly clear that he won’t be appearing, so a move now seems likely.
