Jethro Tull Announce The Date Of 2024 UK Tour.
Progressive rock legends Jethro Tull will embark on The Curiosity Tour across the UK in April and May 2026.
Opening at Peth Concert Hall on 19th April and wrapping up at Eastbourne Congress Theatre on 16th May, Jethro Tull will play a total of 19 shows in Scotland, England and Wales.
Other cities and towns visited are Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Blackburn, Salford, Liverpool, Sheffield, Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham, Leicester, London, Basingstoke, Swansea, Bristol, Truro, Bournemouth and Southampton.
The concerts will see Jethro Tull perform material from much of their 24 album catalogue starting with 1968’s ‘This Was’ through to their acclaimed ‘Curious Ruminant’ released earlier this year.
Tickets to Jethro Tull’s UK tour go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 9am on Friday 9th May.
Jethro Tull frontman, founder and flautist Ian Anderson will be joined on the tour by long-standing Tull band musicians David Goodier (bass), John O’Hara (keyboards), Scott Hammond (drums) and new boy Jack Clark (guitar). The show will be enhanced by full-scale video throughout.
Ian Anderson says, “It was January of 1968 when we began regularly playing at the famous Marquee Club in London. Late in the following year, with growing success, we were able to perform in theatres and concert halls up and down the country much as we do today.
“For me, one advantage of a UK tour is that I can often travel by train much of the time and get to see both countryside and cityscapes alike from the tranquil vantage point of a railway carriage. Michael Portillo with a flute, you might say… Albeit less colourful, since my wardrobe is limited to various shades of grey in order to blend in perfectly with a dank and dreary rainy Monday afternoon at a railway station near you.
“Our audiences may have become senior citizens in some cases but, being young at heart, they still venture out to see a bunch of old guys having fun. Which, indeed, we are with our young, nimble and lightning-fast fingers, skittering up and down fretboards and keys with apparent ease and facility. Just don’t ask us to put out the recycling or programme the TV controller.”
Prior to the spring 2026 tour, there are a trio of ‘Ian Anderson presents Christmas With Jethro Tull’ concerts in late December at Bath Abbey, Peterborough Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (2nd May) at 9am.

Meat Loaf was the father-in-law of Scott Ian
Anthrax axeman Scott Ian married the late-great Meat Loaf’s daughter Pearl Aday, who is also a rock musician, in 2011, and they have a son together called Revel. When Meat Loaf passed away in January 2022, the thrash musician paid poignant tribute, writing: “There are so many stories to tell, and I know they will all be told over time. For now, what I know is that Meat’s legacy will live on through his family – Pearl, Amanda and Revel. Explaining she’s related to Johan on her father’s side, Nita told Ultimate Guitar: “We have a lot of musicians, like, everyone on my dad’s side of the family is all musicians, all the way back to the Viennese Strausses.” Asked if she would consider performing Johan’s music, Nita said: “You know, the waltz doesn’t really sound good on the guitar. Like, I’ve sort of experimented a bit. I have to explore it more, because I would like to. And actually, we talked even about using ‘The Blue Danube’ as intro music for the tour or something, but it’s so on the nose. It’s sort of, like, so obvious, but I still want to explore it when I have a little more time.”
